Here is my submission to Portland's Futurelandia exhibit
A few years ago, I created a vintage-looking Union Station train poster entitled: "Go By Train".  For Portland's Futurelandia exhibit, I thought it would be interesting to revisit that scene, playfully looking at what it might look like in the future.

Ignoring the strong possibility that the iconic clock tower will no longer be standing due to "the big one", here's what's going on in 2080:  Due to Artificial Intelligence experiments at the Oregon National Primate Research Center in the 2030s, and the negotiated release of Rhesus Macaques in 2036, Portland's population diversified. The monkeys, with their implanted historical perspective and scientific knowledge, have contributed to great advances in energy generation and public transit, enhancing the region's sustainability. The dry west hills are blanketed with solar panels, and palm trees dot the landscape. The Hyperloop transports passengers across the Willamette Desert in 15 minutes.
